Toilet Thud on Flush

About a year ago our main toilet started to dribble after flush had ended. I replaced a small rubber disc (can’t recall the name) and that solved that problem.

Last few weeks it started to dribble again. Thought I’d deal with it another time due to lockdown etc.

May be completely unrelated. But this morning I flushed toilet and rather than empty the entire cistern of water as it usually does, it emptied may 2/3 and then cut cut off with quite a thud. Refilled OK.

If I hold button then it empties the cistern and there is no thud.

I can replicate this every flush now.

Any ideas what it might be and if I need to worry?

Thank you

Sorry, should have said 2/3.

It’s not dual flush. Always empties entire cistern, apart from now.
