Hi All,

I am installing a toilet in an old flat, an am unsure about the fan size, or how many to use.
The room is 1 x 2m and 4m high. I was estimating about 40-60m3/h flow. The problem is that it is in the middle of the flat, and I need 8m pipe run with 4 elbows to get to the roof (outside walls no option, as house is listed, and cannot drill)
I was planning on using the standard 45mm x 100mm section for this. I have spoken to a bathroom company and they said just put in 1 or 2 in-line fans under the roof with 300m3/h, and you will have enough. I would like to avoid wind rushing though my hair when using the toilet, so after some advice!

Many thanks for any help,

Peter

have a look at Dragon's Den on BBC they had a guy this week with an extractor that uses the soilpipe to get the smells away.
not sure how it works when your sat on it though - wind whistling through your legs??
