Too long between decking oil coats?

OK, so I've been outside oiling the decking this weekend (first time since built).

I have only done one coat but I don't have time to get a second coat on today, the tin says (Liberon Clear) that I should apply the second coat before the first is dry.

My question is, if I wait for the first coat to dry and then add a second, what will happen? Will it not soak in properly?
