Hi All,

Basically I need the equivalent of a flathead screwdiver that is 25mm wide and about 2mm thick to undo the slotted brass covers in the thermostatic shower valve. I'm having trouble finding what tool to use!

Background is that having fitted like for like 2 bar Salamander twin pump in loft after 14yo pump failed, I'm not getting the same pressure at the shower head. Shower Valve manufacturers have said that it sounds like the NRVs are sticking as they do after a time. Need the tool to get to them!

Thanks All.

Well...I WD40d the cap and tried a 2p and a 50p in mole grips...both coins bent but caps did not budge...any other ideas please?

a few large blank "penny washers" are handy to keep around. Griped in pliers or mole grips, they can be cut to provide a long straight side.
