I have a new google toolbar at the top of the screen.
It is different from the old google one I had for two years
Not sure if it is related to the google toolbar but

Originally across the top there was also a box with the web address in it
ie http/www.******.com.
now it is not there.
Anyway to get it back please

Thanks

Right clickon the tool bar with 'File', 'Edit', etc in it
Click Navigation Bar
That should bring up the bar with the address box in it.

I found this on Microsoft's site
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842903
Try the first method, but if you have to use the second method, set a System Restore point before you do method 2.
dave

Just a point, on the menu click to untick 'Lock the Toolbars' and the untick the Address bar and retick it.

Method 1 failed

looked at method 2 , was a bit wary as told not to touch the reg edit.
As it was micro soft advise though, I thought why not.
Followed it to the word, and it worked.

Before I done it I made the icons smaller.

The address came back in the wrong place though, too low?
I uninstalled the google bar and reinstalled and it moved up a row too this.

It is ok though

This is what It used to be, before I reinstalled the xp due to system failures
(note after the reg edit the address bar went in the wrong place
I sorted that though as said above)

The thing is in different place now it was higher before.
And the icons are relocated
It is all a bit weird
But it is ok
Any ideas why, has the broadband disc added a tool bar do you think, as there is a "s" symbol.
I looked to try to uninstall it but did not see it.
Perhaps the google bar changed, it was 2 years old.
There seemed to be two so I chose the old , maybe mine was older than that.

But at least it is there now so
well done, dave your top man, for getting it back
:D :D :D

All you need to do now is hover the mouse over the dotted vertical line next to the google search box and make it wider, and it should go back to how it was.

there is a solid vertical line with two arrows, used that and it has widened the box more
thanks

If the icons inthe toolbars are in the wrong order for you, right click on the toolbar above ytour address bar and select Customize.
In the window on the right hand side is a list of all the icons on your bar, you can click and drag any of them in the list up or down and that will alter there position on your toolbar.
Glad that you got it sorted.
