Transformer for LED panel

It would have been so much clearer if you'd posted that photo first.....

Well, from what he did post early on we could see what was going on here

I picked this panel up locally. It has a transformer, but it's the type that plugs into a ceiling fitting.
Is there not a power supply in the box? If not there should be.
Yes. It plugs into a special socket which I don't have

I know little about DALI.

Will that driver default to some sensible state in the absence of any control signals or connections?

It has a transformer

You're better off than I was. I got given a bunch of old panels, but no supply.

I thought "maybe I can clean off all the yellowing around the edges of the diffuser sheets".

No.

Then I thought "Oh well, they might still be OK for the shed. How much will a/some driver(s) cost?"

Oh. Dump it is, then.

Yeah, those.aren't cheap! I was very lucky with this. Ex-university panels. The seller hasn't had much luck so he's dropped the price down to £5 a panel and he showed me it working before he took payment.

If he still has some next payday I'm going to go grab a few more!
