Hi

Not too sure if this should be posted in the gardening bit but it a wood question so...

I have had a cedar wood roof build & fitted on top of my summer house (underneath is the standard ply/felt so waterproofing is not an issue)

What is best to 'show off' & protect the cedar? Do I need to wax it with something or paint it with something, if so whats best?

See picture for style of roof. (Its darker than the pic)

Thanks

Oil of some sort. Look at Osmo or similar.

Definitely no paint or surface coating.

osmo uv but it isn't cheap. Whatever you use make sure it is UV resistant and it will need doing about every 5 years
