Hi, I would like a bit of advice on my boiler please. Its an oil fired Trianco Eurostar 70/80 and has always worked fine. However it has just developed a problem where it wont switch off untill the thermostat limit switch trips. My first thoughts are that the boiler control thermostat has failed. What do you think? Any help much appreciated.

"Simples" measure the temperature.
Yes if the boiler is tripping out on limit the normal thermostat
has failed.
