that might be the best option but I would like to have the option. I have been told that a new jacket could be around £1200 fitted which would be less than half the cost of a new boiler.
That could well be the case, but a nice new boiler would probably be more efficient and will have a warrantee.
Have you cured the cause of the failure? Usually corrosion or being incorrectly set up or maintained.
