Trianco 70-90 oil boiler has an intermittent banging in the combustion chamber. It never locks out but has an occasional "bang". It's not that loud but obvious.
Any ideas?

What frequency? Hourly, Daily, Weekly?
is it a single Bang, or is it repeated if so Rapid? Slow?

Could be one of several causes, from Kettling in the heat exchanger, boiler thermostat causing overheat Baffles tight and banging when they get hot and release, or possible a Combustion problem such as Delayed Ignition, too much air, too little air etc etc

More info would be useful! ;)

Its seems to be after getting warmed up. Frequency is minutes. System boiler, floor standing. Not been serviced for an undetermined time.
Burner thoroughly checked.
Kettling is possible now you mentioned?
