My washing machine has stopped reaching its fastest spin.

The repair man came out today and said it was the timer or terminal board (cant remember which one). Its a green board that sits under the top of the washer on the right near side corner.

He told me to repair it would cost £95 all in and that was for a reconditioned part with 12mth guarantee.

No idea if this is a fair price of if Im being conned so any advice appreciated before I give him the go ahead.

Thanks

get another quote? (and also ask the bloke will this solve the problem)

Thank you for the speedy reply. I did ask that question and he said to his knowledge it would fix the problem and he wouldnt leave me without the washer being fixed.
My mum has used him in the past and according to my dad his prices have been reasonable but I wanted to double check as I have no idea!

If I can find someone else who doesnt charge for call out/diagnosis I will get them out- Just need it fixing asap- the washing is starting to pile up!

well if he comes with a good recomendation then try him and you sy he did say he would fix it
