Hi all, my downstairs and some upstairs sockets have been tripping, traced it to the dishwasher any ideas what next i can do to rectify

the washer has had a dodgy on/off swich for ages and ive had a clothes peg jammed in because the switch gradually came out and stopped the cycle cheers P M

This may be an off-the-wall wild'n'wacky suggestion, but as you've traced the cause to an appliance you know to be faulty, try replacing the appliance.

Hello,

Disconnect the appliance.

Then use one of these ??

It would be a shame to buy a new switch and fit it, only to find another fault. And it would be a shame to buy a new appliance if the only fault is the switch. Kind of rock, and hard place situation.

Sorry for not being 'constructive', but I still think my idea is best  . Think of all that extra space without the dishwasher!!!, and family members can trained and instructed to 'do thier own' upon command.....

for the price they charge for a coffee, I thought the mugs were included in the price, so I take em home with me..

maybe i should have asked the price of a starbucks coffee then the post may have drifted towards my elecrical problem :D

ok then. if you've traced it back to the faulty dishwasher, you have 2 options...

BUY A NEW ONE

or

GET THE OLD ONE REPAIRED...

which you've already been told to do..
