Hi guys, need some advice...

We have a Triton Cara that works fine when set to ECO, but when set to HIGH all we can get is scalding hot water even when the temperature control is set to minimum.

Any ideas?

Cheers

the temperature of the cold water delivered to your property during summer is much higher than in colder months ,and not unusual to just need "eco or low " settings. nothing necessarily wrong with your shower. however ,the water flow rate may be suspect if you really are getting SCALDING hot water . the shower head may be partially blocked with limescale ,the flexi hose maybe kinked ,or the water filter inside the shower may be partially blocked. by the way if you have at some time replaced hose or shower head with non manufacturers replacements , they may be your problem. the ones supplied with your shower are designed to work with the shower , substitutes may not be totally suitable.

shower has 2 heating elements ,on high both are on at same time, on low only one is used. in winter the water coming into property is very cold and one element can't raise the temperature enough .in summer the opposite applies .

by the way ,when you adjust the temperature knob , you are controlling the flow rate of the water passing thru the shower. the slower it runs thru ,the more heat it picks up and you get hotter temperature but at a slower flow of water . if you turn it to colder ,you notice water comes out faster and lower temperature .
