This shower has been fitted for about 3 years and until recently has been faultless. In the past few weeks it will start to run colder after a couple of minutes of operation. If you turn it off and then on again, it stays hot for another couple of minutes. The temperature control adjustment is also much stiffer than it used to be.
It's fed from an open vented HW cylinder via a Salamander pump.
Does this sound like a problem with the thermostatic cartridge? We're in a hard water area so limescale could be an issue. If it is the cartridge, is there anything that can be done to overhaul it or is it a replacement job?
