Hi,

I wonder if someone can help here.

We have a Triton Ivory III and recently it has started cutting out mid-flow and then stays off, but then comes back on again and seems to work as normal. It can take anything between a few seconds and tens of seconds before it comes back on. Turning it off and back on via the switch makes no difference as to how long it takes to come back on again.

Its seemingly random (not repeatable) and I thought it happened after prolonged use, but my wife said its happened first thing in the morning a few times.

I've just replaced the Solenoid (had to take almost the whole unit apart inside to get into it), but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.

Before we look to get a new shower, can anyone suggest what else might be the problem?

Thanks,

P.

Hi,

I've just done more diagnosis - its always been my wife and daughter that had the problem (they spend longer in the shower) so I just sat and watch it there for 10 minutes until it happened.

And.. I noticed that the when it stopped, the light on the shower went off, but the light on the pull cord "box" (RCD?) also went off. The breaker on the mains board did not trip, however. So, I now suspect that the issue might that box and not the shower.

Away to open that up and have a look now (having turned it off at the mains).

Best,

P.

more likely a loose connection.
check the connections for tightness and any burnt/damaged connections.

Do you mean a loose connection inside the shower or in the box?

Thanks,

P.

if your loosing neon on pullcord then pullcord would be my first port of call.
quite common for pullcords to fail.
