Triton Shower Earth Problem

What can I say?

Apart from a few words including blind, fool and old....?

At least two of which I am.....:oops:
 
OK thanks for your responses people.
I checked the heater, TCO and solenoid on both old and new showers for integrity with multi meter. All fine. Checked compression fitting and water isolation, definitely water coming through. This all leads me to the pull cord, which is at least 9 years old...
