Triton t80i not working - only scalding water

I have a Triton T80i which has stopped working. It seems to have suddenly stopped pumping cold water through. It did not stop working mid shower.

There is a fine flow of scalding hot water coming through and a whirring sounding noise when it is switched on, as if the cold water connection has ceased.

I have replaced a kitchen tap recently (2weeks prior) which ment that mains H2O was switched off, but had no problems immediately after that, so it maybe a red herring.

Sounds like the can heating element is scaled up not letting the water flow through it, hence why the trickle coming out was scalding

Replace the can element or replace the shower unit as a whole.
