Hi i have a triton t80i electric mains shower. The cold water pressure in the house is great. Even in the same bathroom the fills up a bucket in 4.8sec the shower on full cold mode takes nearly 9sec when hot 12sec.
Do you know why then is the case ?

How can i improve the pressure ?
Can i replumb it and run a pipe from the loft and install a pump ?

Would that help ?

no you can't improve them. The only way to get a better flow at same temp would be to fit a higher kw ie 10.5 kw rather than a 8.5 kw.
you can have say 15 l/min at the mains supply pipe but the shower will only take 8 l/min on fully cold setting.

The flow is governed by the stabiliser/flow valve in the shower.

Depending what type of system you have can't you opt for a power shower or mixer shower ?

Firstly thanks for the help!!!!

U have just saved me £300+

I want to have a shower where i do not need to heat up the water, we have a family of 5 and hot water is always cold.

so i wanted to have a instant sort of shower option.
What do you think would be my best bet ?
If you think a 10kw shower, can you recommend any ?

Mira sport is one of the best higher kw showers.
But first you need to make sure your mains cable is up to the job or install
a larger cable. 10mm is the useal for that kw shower and a min of 1.5 bar mains water pressure.

but the tap right next to it releases approx 12.5 liters per min.

Do you think there may b a fault with the piping work ?
I have replaced this t80i with a new one and they both have this issue.

As said electric showers are restrictive they only give approx 5 l/min.

No as said thats how they are if you did have a restricted flow problem
then the shower would be to hot will no control over temp.

oh k.

so do you think i should go for the mira sport and change my wiring.

Will this help improve the flow of 5L per min ?

Or is that standard of all electric showers ?

You'll get a better flow from a higher kw shower but any electric shower isn't great.

It you way up the pro's/con's it'll be quite an expense to upgrade.

im thinking i may upgrade to the mira sport shower.

But it may be worth thinking about a simple mixer shower, but that would still leave me with my hot water problem.
