Not really, I understand Must was opposed to subsidies for EV's,, General Motors pushed for it so Musk got it by default.
Musks advantage is that Tesla was the largest ev manufacturer in the world, 2nd now to BYD. Manufacturers with ICE engines face much higher costs trying to maintain one system whilst developing EV's has crippled them.

Nothing short of inspirational. Will probably go down in history as one of the greatest speeches of all time. Hard hitting and far reaching, nobody will be left in any doubt about Americas new direction, and it's lack of direction under the previous administration.

And the look on Joe and Kamalas faces, utterly shell shocked.

Trump speech was littered with lies, misinformation, falsehoods.

I tried hard to watch, but watching a narcissist in full flow was too painful for me

It's amazing how quickly someone can go from being important to 'who?'

When Biden walked up the stairs of the helicopter, once inside he turned and waved.

Not one person looking, Trump etc had already walked away. I'm not posting this to mock, just commenting on the dynamic of being 'the man' and then ... you're not.

Public not forced down EV vehicle route.
US government will recognise only two genders, male and female.
Pushing for a colourblind society based on merit.
Stopping the social engineering of pushing a certain narrative based on race and gender into every walk of life.
Gulf of Mexico to have its name changed to Gulf of America.
Taking back the Panama Canal.

And what do we get? Pathetic tozzers who 'promise' not to screw old people or tax working people - then break even these modest aims as soon as they're in. About as inspirational as a night out with David Lammy.

Even if, big if, Trump keeps to a tenth of his promises the American people will be better off than if they stuck with Democrats. Though I'm realistic about these 'promises', as Trump is a politician after all. However he can go for it a bit more on his second and final term.
