How's democracy in Iraq getting on these days?

There's a fair bit of unrest and stirrings, they are united in not wanting the US to get involved again. Iran still bears a grudge from when we and the US overthrew their democratically elected government for some reason.

USA has a history of imagining attacks and shaping public opinion to justify war.
I dare say Israel has taken to copying their tactics.

Gaslight the public with lies about the danger to their lives from the latest so called 'threat to Western civilisation' ,it used to be the commies,now its Muslims or the Chinese.
People like Netanyahu have made a career out of telling the world that Iran is on the verge of building a nuclear bomb .
He has been telling this lie for decades, when his alleged Iranian bomb doesn't materialise as predicted, he gaslights the public in a different direction to distract their attention, he then returns to his pet subject at a later stage with a new prediction for the imminent arrival of the Iranian bomb.

Not really, Trump has never worried about that and as his dementia progresses it's even less of an issue for him.

When there's no explicit objectives then it's easy to declare they've all been met. No matter what happens the plan will be rewritten to match.
