Hello,
I am pretty new to DIY as just moved into my own place. I am stuck with something and hope all you experienced hands can give my some advice. The radiators in my house have (or had Temperature regulates valves..lol). But all the tops (I mean the plastic bit on the top which rotates to regulate the temperature) are broken. The metal valve is there but the tops are gone. All that is left is a small round pin kinda thing left on the top of the valve.
Is it possible to replace just the plastic tops (so i could try doing it myself) or do i have to replace the whole valve?? (which i dont think i can do myself as theres a lot of other things i will have to do which i dont know i.e. draining the rad n all that business). If the plastic tops can be replaced, where can i buy them (e.g. B&Q, Homebase, etc). And are the tops universal or of specific type (i have one of the broken tops, its from a company called Terrier)
I have uploaded photos of the broken cap and the valve here. pls have a look.
