Hi,
the TRV control head on one of my radiators broke (the plastic part of the housing at the base), so the control head doesn't fit on anymore.

The rest is fine - the gold pin is now obviously in the up position and the radiator is very hot.

Can I just get another head and screw it on?

How do I get the gold needle to go down? Cool the radiator and then just screw a new head on?

Thanks.

you cant just screw any old head on, needs to be the same one obviously.

you dont need to push pin down either, make sure Head is set to max then screw it on, some have a hexagonal pattern to help the head locate in the correct direction and stop it spinning
