Hi guys

Couldn't see this specific problem addresses anywhere. Got a TRV which was left closed (I know, I know) and now can't be turned at all. I have taken the head off and the pin goes up and down okay but even now I can't turn the dial on the head. It is tricky to get hold of and try as I might I just can't get the damn thing to turn. Any tips on getting this moving again?

thanks,
Bob

It does look like it. I suppose I could buy a replacement if I can't get it working.

The sensor is seized up,if the rad heats Just get a sensor. Look at auction sites cant be more that a few quid.

Test all your rads in case others are seized.

those heads are a mare for jamming, remove the sensor head and spray with WD40 and leave overnight then wash under a tap , its the dust and stuff from the room that sicks in the plastic, if that doesnt work they are easily purchased on ebay for a few quid, have a mate that says he put his in the dishwasher with the dishes and it came out like new, not sure about that but the high temperature steam in a dishwasher will certainly clean out all the crap
