HI all. On the system I'm balancing we've found that a number of the TRVs are connected so that they're on the output of the radiator, even though the flow indicator on the valve shows that they should be on the input.
There doesn't seem to be any reason for it, other than the various fitters who've worked on the system over the years having a clear preference for fitting the TRV on the right hand side of the rad, regardless of what the flow is actually doing.
There are 2 or 3 different makes of TRVs on the 10 rads in the house. Are the ones connected against their flow indicator likely to make any material difference or is connecting them correctly a bit of a nice to have?
