So what are you doing then?
Because one thing you appear to be not doing is identifying what each conductor is before just sticking them into switch terminals and seeing if both lights work.....
So what I am doing is:
A putting the cables in as they came out from the previous switch
B discovering they arent working and so turing off at the CU and trying to work out why they arent working
C Getting a multimeter on them to find out what is what before I re-engage the CU switch.
Thats what I am doing
