I need to install a tumble dryer in my kitchen. However the place I want to put it is underneath the sink drainer.
Is this within building regulations and if not are there specific zones for appliances like you have in bathrooms.

Good advice much appreciated.

Cheers

I presume by" The drainer " you mean the part of the sink top tht is channelled for water drainage. There is no reason I know of that prevents this, but I would have thought that as long as it does not obsruct access to the sink waste & the electrical supply is not going to be in the same area, you should be ok. I would think possibly a kitchen designer would be in the best position to give you a definitive answer.
