I noticed the tundish is streaming cold water.

I emptied the radiators and opened the hot tap.
I shut off the valves (blue and red ones in the photo)

When I shut off the blue ones the water stops streaming. Either one of them on starts streaming again

The pressure in the expansion valve was empty so I pressurised with a foot pump to 1 bar.

Turned on the valves again and the water kept steaming.

The expansion vessel is factory pre charge 3bar, zilmet 18ltr type 19. The manual only shows the pre charge, I believe the set pressure is according to height.

Could it be likely the expansion vessel needs replacing or just needs to be set to 3bar?

Thank you

The EV will require a higher pre-charge and no it's got nothing to do with height. The water shouldn't be streaming through the tundish though so there may other issues too, PRV may need looked at .

I would really advise that you get someone in that's qualified in Unvented Systems to service your cylinder and it's ancillaries properly.
