The pump and diverter valve were recently changed on our Vaillant Turbomax 242 (black panel with green dial). Since then the boiler will cut-off several times a day. Once cut-off, it will often take about 15 minutes before we can reset the boiler – perhaps the boiler needs to cool down. Also, we notice the water temperature fluctuating slightly. The secondary heat exchange is reasonably clean - just very few small rust particles came out when I was cleaning it. Any suggestion on the cause of the problem.

Thank you Tony. A local engineer, Terry, diagnosed and replaced the pump and diverter. He has been repairing my boiler for the last 15 years. BTW, I believe he used to work for Vaillant. However, when I reported that the boiler keep cutting-off, Terry asked me to look for another engineer and also suggested that I perform a power flush.
