Im breaking up an old sunken garden/pond and need to bury the hardcore with soil before i soil over. Whats the minimum depth of soil i need to ensure it wont dry out over a hot spell? Any other tips welcome please as im also worried about the area sinking over time. Lack of funds prevent me from getting the hardcore taken away and buying tonnes of topsoil.
