Hello has anyone here ever tried cutting there existing grass really short, adding some top soil or sand and fertiliser and laying new turf on that, im thinking about doing it myself here on the left, second pik is where im up to
It may grow, but not well?
You can hire a turf cutter for not much, one day would do it.
Or rotovate it?
I turfed a fall in my lawn years ago and it took ages for the new turf to start to take
My neighbour re turfed his back lawn and had a bit left over. The strip of grass between the pavement and kerb was just dirt and probably compacted. He laid the excess turf on top and watered it for months. It died.
