Turning Off the water to remove radiator

Hi,

I'm removing two radiators, I know I dont have to turn the water off, but after my last effort removing a radiator I think I should Therefore if Im removing a radiator where do I need to turn the water off is it loft or would it be downstairs some where ?

Also if I did have a problem when removing the radiator and did have the water turned off, would the water still come out of the radiator feed pipes until the system was empty ?

No need to turn the water off. Just issolate the two rads in question using the lockshield/TRV valves, then drain rads off into a small bowl.

Note how many turns to close the valves, and when replacing the rads open the valves with corresponding number of turns.
