Two basins into one waste pipe

Hi all,

Can anyone advise me on this one please.

I have a stud wall separating an en-suite and bathroom.

A 32mm waste pipe serves the bathroom wall mounted basin with a normal trap.

Question, can I fit another wall mounted basin (other side of the stud wall in the en-suite) with its own trap, and use the same 32mm waste pipe ? Or will this cause issues ?

Will the use of two anti vac traps work ?


The 32mm waste pipe runs for approx 1.5m before it goes outside and in to the stack via a 40mm pipe

I ran a basin waste into a bath waste, the bath draining sucked the water out of the basin trap. Installing an anti siphon bottle trap on the basin seems to have stopped it.

Yes but increase the waste to 40mm where they Tee.

Thanks, but the waste runs under a tiled floor and I cannot access it

OK, the only time there may be an issue is if both basins were filled and drained at the same time.
