Hi,

Sorry, if this question is a bit basic but I'm paranoid

I was replacing a spotlight in the kitchen and there were two cables present that had been joined using a connector block to a single flex that led to the light fitting. So, Two live (red) two neutral (black) and two earth (unsheathed but I will do this) entwined to fit the three holes in the block. Is it okay to repeat this? It seem to work despite the bulbs blowing regularly!
