I have recently knocked down a partition wall to restore the main bedroom into one room. There are two lights currently in the room but they are run from different switches. How do i wire two lights into one switch?

Put the second light in parallel with the one whose switching circuit you want to keep, and disconnect the unwanted switch wire. See diagrams in 'for referance' at the top of the forum, and try and identify what sort of existing wiring you have.
If it still makes no sense, and your wiringseems not to be one of the standard circuits, then try to draw the wiring you already have, and then come back.

PS
(before you disconnect anything irriversible, note down existing connections and mark wires with tippex or indelible marker- just because its a black wire doesn't mean its not a switched live!)

there are various methods. It all depends on what exactly you want and what exactly you have already.

if the switch cables will both reach the planned new switch position you can just connect them both to the switch and not bother messing with the roses at all

if you wnt to have both switches controlling both lights then do the following

at each switch connect the existing permanent live wire (usually red) to L1
at each switch connect the existing switched live wire (usually black should be sleeved red) to L2
use a new run of T&E cable between the switces to connect COM to COM and L2 to L2
