I was replacing the top plasterboard in a window reveal and found the corner bead made up of two flat and flexible strips of metal. After I dot and dab'ed the new board and dried, I stuck the metal strips on using easyfill. Should I have used the plasterboard adhesive instead, or it doesn't matter? Do I need to use paper tape on top of the metal strips, or can I just use easyfill to cover the strips? There appeared to be paper tape on the metal strips previously.

The original bead had tape. So, I am putting on tape. That gives a more robust hold on the metal.
