I am demolishing the wall between two rooms, one with a two way controlled light, one with an ordinary one way switch. Is it possible to bring the two together so they both operate under the control of the two way switch. (SUPPLEMENTARY INFO I only have access to the switches as the rooms above have laminate/tile floors and I am not planning to renew the ceiling. There is just one point however where I can bring the existing switch cables, from the main two way and the one way, together and hope it will be possible to put in a junction box and a new cable to the position of the new master switch)

Do you mean a double gang offering both lights with a separate functional switch or do you want to contact both lights to the same single switch?
Joining of cables is always a problem as all joints much be easily accessible for inspection and testing.
Unless you can solder or crimp them, specialist tools and knowledge may be required to do this, so may be easier replacing switch cables altogether. Depending on your exact circumstances that is.

The type of lighting circuit you have (i.e. where the loop runs), and the method of 2-way switching used, will have a bearing on what't involved in moving switches.

Read up on the alternatives, and see what you've got.

Also, have you considered where cables will run if they currently run vertically down to switches in a wall you're going to remove?
