Two wrong statements, what were they?

Pity the plumber who has to sort that out when one of the `o` rings go in the speedfit. Remove all the units and pipe it up properly anyone? Dohhh!

"11/4" polythene pipe, normally blue" - if it's blue it will be metric. No water authority adopted 40mm (metric equivalent to 11/4") when we went metric, and it's polyethylene (Medium Density Polyethylene), not polythene. Three errors there for starters.

Turning a stop cock back a quarter of a turn will open it enough to allow water to pass. When he is outside talking about the bib tap he says "give it a little tweak" to release the pressure on the washer. Make your mind up, sunshine.

"open the outside tap fully to allow any water in the pipe to drain out." How many water authorities put in an anti-gravity additive?

That's five!! And I wasn't paying that much attention.

I think the dog was feeding him his lines, and the dogs obviously a cowboy. Not saying its bad advice but i dont know anyone ( plumbers included) that check the stoptap monthly (keep it free but this is overkill)

What a nob. Why would a pro give away free advise to punters so they can do the job (badly) themselves, thereby losing business?

Be interesting to know how he intends to drain the pipe fully with no draincock.

Wonder where he hid the double check valve as well.

What a noob

When the pipe bringing water supply into the property is at the front of the units why install the stopcock at the back of a narrow access panel.

Most people would struggle to reach it without an extension device and then suggest operating it once a month.

It took real skill to install the pipes shown. Takes real skill to do it in such an abysmal way!!

OK, new game: Spot The Draincock.

(Clue: it's fitted to a push-fit tee and has some clear hose attached to it. Mind you, it will only empty half the pipe in that set-up.)

Was whoever installed that trying to do a London Underground map in pipe and fittings? Having gone back and looked a little closer, it's a bl00dy mess.
Only one clip. He thinks because it's wedged against the floor it's adequately braced.
One of the elbows at the top of the mess should have been a street elbpw.
There's an elbow joint that's got pipe at an angle of about 10 degrees.
As already mentioned, the DCV is invisible. Who makes them?

I'd be verbally pulling it to bits, not using it as an example.
Are we sure it's not a wind-up?
