tying into Cast Iron Soil Stack

I want to make a new run for a new WC and the soil stack is cast iron. Is it best to use a cast iron access branch or is PVC ok? I also want to use PVC for my run pipe.

Thought you could but needed confirmation. Bit hard to nip down to the shop as I am in Eastern Russia at the moment. Blowing a blizzard
 
Not sure about what adaptor kev means. DO NOT use a plastic strap on thing, they always leak quite soon even with loads of silicone . Suggest a Timesaver coupling. Kamchatka's pleasant this time of year - not too buggy!
