Probably not an entirely suitable question for here but it is car related.

For anyone commuting through the tunnel on a daily basis, what's the traffic at rush hour like these days ?

I'm thinking of daily travel from Durham to Wallsend.

last time i worked from up there i was a trucker, tunnel was free moving anytime of day shame those wheel tapers and ole bill kept pulling me over....have yer got any explosives have you got any flamables or chemicals errrrr yeah right.

back to the subject yeah tunnels ok route to take

So the queues, even at rush hour times, are quite short since the new tunnel was opened ?
