Type of breeze block

H I am building a small music room and not sure what breeze block to use? do I use standard blocks 7N?
Sound proofing is better than thermal want to keep noise out..

I guess a builders merchant would have to order them in . I've not used them myself - I just googled it ;)
 
Your bricklayer won't thank you for dense blocks up to ceiling- but generally mass is the king for reducing noise pollution in and out. If it is a small room you could even think about poured concrete walls- bit specialised when it comes to the shuttering etc but maybe worth a thought? (Prepared to be shot down in flames on that thought though :) )

Hollow blocks springs to mind, pour concrete into them

LIke yr thinking. How would you do it- really sloppy concrete to make sure it dropped all the way to the bottom or do it x courses at a time? (Curious here)
 
Every few courses I guess. My neighbour is currently using them to do a very small retaining wall, nothing like a bit of over engineering... I’d say dense 7n blocks for this, double skin ....
