type of sand

hi all,


really dumb questions time, which is the right type of sand to lay under a patio.

if my memory serves it's sharp sand, but it has been around 8 years since i last did this so could someone just confirm it for me.

If you are going down the screeded sand bed route then yes, sharp is the way to go.

I'd advise a full mortar bed personally. Still, have fun!
