Tyres, what to buy?

I have a volks Lupo with 40,000 on the factory tyres. Now i need to replace the front tyres. Should i go to the main dealer for volks tyres?
Or are there any other types that you would recommend?

Why go back to the car dealer, they sell cars. You need a tyre shop. The tyres you need should be the same size as fitted (the size will be on the side wall of the fitted tyres). Look in your local paper, you will probably see the size of tyre & price. Most are free fitting.
Or
You can buy them on the internet & take to a tyre dealer to have fitted. They will charge you for this.

main dealer will do it for you, they just send it somewhere you could have gone and charge you loads for the privelage

Or I tend to go to a couple of local tyre dealers on small industrial estates around town,rather than national chains - tyres are normally about 25% cheaper.
