I need to replace a plastic u bend that goes under the sink of my downstairs bathroom.
Unfortunately it looks like the local shops (I have only been to homebase and b&q here in the UK) only sell 32 mm or 40 mm u bends, and my house uses smaller pipes than this (looks like it is 29 mm to me) .

So the 32 mm one I bought doesn't fit.

Does anyone know where I can buy non standard size pipes and u bends? Maybe online?

Many thanks in advance for your kind answers.

Is it a really old basin ? Can you post some pics.

No, the house was built in 1986, so I was quite surprised to not be able to fit the standard size one I got.

Here are picture of what I am trying to replace.

Looks like a standard inch and a quarter p trap, you should be able to pick one up from any plumbers merchants, do you have chrome pipe under the wash hand basin ?

You do realise the pipe goes inside the outer ring but outside the inner ring don't you? :D
Looks like inch and a half to me.

edit
picasso's got better eyes than me, agree inch and a quarter .
