Hi
We are building a shower room and the council want the floor to have a value of 0.22W/m2k

We have built the slab which consists of 150 mm hardcore, dpm, 100 mm concrete and are now in the process of painting on a liquid damp course. We were then going to add 100mm Celotex and 3 " screed. Will this achieve what the council have asked for?

Yes you should be fine with that, they will probably want 25mm around the perimeter as well. ;)

Yes I suggested this to my son in law who is working on a large development at the minute and he said he has never seen the insulation laid round the outside edges. He is not a builder, he is a sparks but see's alot of builders works on his travel so I am glad you have confirmed this for me.

Does it matter too much how I cut the celotex? can you just butt it up to the next piece or does certain parts have to meet? do I just piece it all together like a jigsaw?
