quick one lads i changed a fan last week on this and it worked fine for a week,i got called back and fan works ,makes pressure switch and ignition begins but it only lights the pilot light and doesnt fully ignite,am i right in thinking that its the gas valve,owner also informed me that the pcb was also changed in the last month,any ideas

It could be - but not without doing a methodical diagnosis first! 
unless ur gas safe registered you can not even touch the fan on ay boiler let alone a gas vavle
