What do you guys do about the power outlet for under cabinet lights?

I was thinking about running the cable from the light, up the small recess behind the wall cabinet (where the hooks are that mount to the wall) to the driver sitting on top, and then to flex outlets above the cabinets.

Is this acceptable or is there a better way?

Thanks

I try and avoid under cupboard lights with transformers
I wondered why too?

Plus, by "transformers" do you mean in the broadest sense? many supplies now have drivers which are not actually transformers as such so I am wondering that you might also referring to these included too for possibly similar reasons !

Come to that, I personally prefer to fit real transformers rather than the electronic devices for reliability
