Hi I want to install 3 x 12w Striplights can any tell me the difference between warm white 2700K and Daylight 6400K and what would the best one be for the kitchen. Thanks Tony
2700 is very warm. IMO 3500 is warm enough for most applications.
6400 is stupidly blue lol. Shops tend to use 4500, which is cool white.
6400 attempts to recreate daylight, but will appear very "blue" compared to normal filament lighting (imagine on an overcast day in a north facing room, thats the sort of colour we're talking)
In a kitchen I'd fit 4500K lamps (if I could find them in B&Q - good luck with that lol, they only seem to sell warm white)
