Under cupboard strip light

Hi.. Wonder if someone can help. I bought this light off ebay, and wanted to know if it's possible to plug it straight into a 13amp socket with a plug. The instructions say it should be wired into a lighting circuit.

The listing has expired so can't view the item. Likely you can plug it into a socket with 3A fuse in plug.

UK voltage 230v @ 50Hz if light is for that voltage then no problem.

Do you reckon I could pug it into a socket with a 5A fuse ?.

Thats what it appears to say - wont look very nice though.

3A will be fine*, and probably much easier to find.







* unless it's a 700+W light, which I think unlikely...

Have to use 3 & 5 amp fuses all the time ( When will a sparks fit a 3amp fused spur when asked ????? )

But I still think your average high street electrical or hardware store is more likely to have the standard values of 3A & 13A in stock.
