I I am having difficulty with my under floor heating controller wiring.

the box set up is as follows

1 2 3 4 5 6
L N COM NO sensor sensor

i am ok with the live and neutral in from the Spur and the two sensor wires. However i don't know which box number to wire the earth from the spur or the 3 wires from the heating mat, their colours are yellow and green, black, blue.

thanks in advance to anyone who can help

regards dave...

Normally you do not connect the earths to the heating controller.

These should be connected together in a seperate connector. If you have a steel backbox, use the lug on that, if not then use a strip connector. You need to connect the earth from the spur with the earth from the heating mat (the green and yellow wire)

The live from the heating mat connects to the NO terminal (4)

The neutral from the heat mat connects to the N terminal (2) along with the neutral from the spur.

The live from the spur commects to L (1). You also need to install a link from this terminal to the COM (3).

Is the supply for the heat mat protected by an RCD??

cheers for the info

yes the supply to the mat is rcd protected with a RCD10WL

the backbox is plastic therefore a block connector for the spur too mat earth connection
