Are there any regulations regarding installing kitchen lights under kitchen units in respect of distance to a sink?

OK Thanks - I have just seen a fluorescent light and also some downlighters that seem to fit on the underneath of the cabinet in FOCUS, so we will make a choice between these. Both are RING and the fluroescent comes with a switch, so that might be better.

Cheers.

Thanks flameport - We will look around before buying - I have never had under unit lights before and we were thinking about what restrictions there might be - as the worktop we were thinking about has a sink - we could have one light on one side (above the wooden worktop), but the other light (if we were having two) would have to be above the drainer part of the sink (but set back towards the wall. We will take a good look around.

Dont fit halogen under the cupboards - unless you want the food to begin cooking while you're chopping it up....
